Dr. Fichera and her staff are ah-mazing! My sweet Millie got sick on a Thursday evening and spent Thursday night/Friday in my local emergency vet. They kept her stable, but did not give us clear answers or resolutions to her illness. Come Saturday, Millie was still ill and Shadow Ridge worked her right in. Excellent communication between the vet, techs, front staff, and my family at regular intervals. In no time we had a confident, accurate diagnosis with proper discharge instructions, all medications, etc; I’m so thankful for them. Millie is like a child of mine! Pricing is absolutely reasonable. I would never take her anywhere else!

I love this place and Dr. Zebley. I've been with her for years and she is very straight forward and honest. She has never pressured me into your into doing something that wasn't necessary and in my pet's best interest. I found her after my cat Wilma, was in a terrifying accident and this place was the only place that was open and able to see her on a Sunday.......Yes!! they have Sunday hours! Since I met Dr. Zebley, she now takes care of Simon, Harry, Rosie, Tonya and of course....Wilma! The other doctors help keep them all healthy and happy too!

Words cannot express the gratitude we have for the doctors and staff. Our cat was awake all Saturday night vomiting blood. The Shadow Ridge team showed SO MUCH compassion and care to my-hysterical-self and my fur baby. When we pulled in the parking lot, the staff was ready to take action. They were quick with care and answered all my questions and concerns with such professionalism. The Dr. gave me a full explanation of what her treatment plan should be and why she chose it. Since this event- I have switched both animals to Shadow Ridge. I trust them to serve both of my sweet pets and will continue to use them.

Our beloved cat was experiencing some behavior changes recently and not eating. Shadow Ridge worked with us tirelessly to try and diagnose and help our Denny. They were even more informative, kind and accommodating when we made the decision to put our senior cat to sleep. I cannot express enough our appreciation for how thoughtfully and respectfully they cared for our boy. I would recommend them to anyone needing care for their pet.
I almost made a huge mistake!
Heads-up: The doctors don't kill animals just because the owners think they should be put down. My neighbor is elderly and she has a 12 year old dog that has bad skin issues. She thought it was time to put Bowser down and needed a ride to the vet. Once there, we were told that ``only the Doctor will decide if euthanasia is appropriate...`` well, ``OK`` I thought. After the exam, the doc said that Bowser is itchy, stinky and has infected ears but otherwise, he's healthy. They treated him, cleaned his ears and bathed him. He still needs a medicated bath every 2 weeks but It makes me sick to my stomach that I almost helped put him down. Thank you!!

Dr. Leidecker is excellent!
Dr. Leidecker is an excellent Veterinarian. She takes the time to be thorough with you and your pet. When my kitty was sick, she proved to be very knowledgeable and experienced. I highly recommended her because she is my hero. If It weren't for her and her caring & talented staff, my fur baby would not be here today. I will be forever grateful for Shadow Ridge Veterinary Hospital
Shadow Ridge Does A Great Job!
Shadow Ridge does a great job with all my pets! I have had issues in the past with one of my pets getting sick over the weekend and my only option was to go to the emergency vet which is very expensive. It makes my life a little easier to not stress over whether or not I can be seen by my vet. In the past I have called a vet's office that I was established with trying frantically to get my sick pet an appointment, only to be told it would be a week or more before they can be seen. I am glad to have that option with Shadow Ridge. Also, they are good to call after an appointment to check on how your pet is doing.
Best vets in burke county!
In my opinion, these folks are the best vets in Burke County! I started coming here soon after they bought the place from the old owners. I've found the doctors and staff here to be a very kind and compassionate. They make me feel like they genuinely care for my pets as if they were their own! If it were not for Dr. Fichera we would have lost our beloved cat Monte. She did an emergency surgery on Monte and saved his life after another local vet sent him home two days earlier with steroids - which he didn't even need! I'm glad you guys are here!!

They're our new vet group
We rescued a dog from a local shelter and took him outside that night to poop. You guessed it!...WORMS!! The next morning, I called Shadow Ridge and they had us bring her immediately as an emergency visit. The doctor ran some tests and did a thorough examination. We found that out Bailey was even sicker than we thought. They regularly updated us on her treatment and cost. After a few hours, we were able take her home. The cost was surprisingly affordable for an emergency visit. We've decided to switch all of pets over to them because we were very impressed with how well they cared for us AND our rescue dog.
